Can I own my home in an over 50s village?

You own the home and lease our site with the protection of a Residential Site Agreement, a concept known as Land Lease Living.

What are the ongoing costs of living in an over 50s community?

You pay a weekly site fee and for your electricity. You maybe eligible for rent assistance for your site fee. There is no stamp duty on the purchase of your home and no exit fees when you sell 100% of any capital gain is yours.

What should I look for when choosing an over 50s lifestyle village?

Choose a village with quality homes, transparent fees, great facilities, a welcoming community, convenient location, and a lifestyle that suits you.

Can I inspect the village before buying?

Yes! We encourage you to inspect the village and experience the community for yourself.

Is the community pet friendly?

Yes! Pets are welcome, subject to the Village Manager’s approval and the community rules. We understand pets are part of the family and assess each application to help maintain a happy community.

Can I receive home care services?

You can receive home care services while living in the village, allowing you to maintain your independence and continue enjoying your home and community as your needs change.

Are the homes wheelchair accessible?

New homes can be built to suit the requirements of the buyer and can be adapted for wheelchair access.

Can someone under 50 live with me?

Our village is designed specifically for residents aged 50 and over, so unfortunately, someone under 50 cannot live with you. We’re committed to creating a community with like-minded residents.

What facilities are available for residents?

We’re upgrading our facilities to create a wonderful community space, including a new community room, library, pool (subject to Council approval), BBQ area, gardens, community garden, storage facility for vans and motorhomes, security gates and more.

Can family and grandchildren visit?

Yes! Family and grandchildren are welcome to visit and enjoy time with you. We simply ask visitors to respect our village, shared spaces, and the comfort of all residents.

What happens if I decide to move?

If you decide to move, you’re free to leave the village at any time. There are no exit fees, giving you flexibility and peace of mind for your future plans. We can organise the sale of your home on your behalf and prepare all necessary paperwork.
